Snowboarding in Chile

I'm relatively new to the sport of snowboarding (and apparently uninformed of geographical locales), so when I saw that it was possible to go snowboarding in Chile, DURING THE SUMMER, I was taken back, thinking that might possibly be the coolest thing in the world. I could just imagine being in South America, after a night of crazy, Latin partying, carving down the side of a mountain, and coming back at the end of a long day to a plate full of freshly made empanadas. Yeah, you'd love it too.

Some of you are probably thinking:
"Why the hell would you want to be around snow in summer?" or... "Why the hell would you go all the way to Chile, TO BE AROUND SNOW, in the summer?"

And I reply with:
"Why not?"

Snowboarding in Chile is PROBABLY not something that would cross ones mind during the summer holidays. And for that reason, one should DEFINITELY look into Snowboarding in Chile during the summer holidays. People are usually caught up with questioning why you'd want to do something, or simply think that doing something askew or out of the ordinary is an act of stupidity. But if you know that you'd love doing an activity, or find something entirely interesting, you should shrug off what people have to say about it, and go have fun (cliche? just a bit). Whether it's snowboarding in Chile, playing Pokemon in your boxers all day, or seeing how many liters of milk you can finish in an hour, you should just do whatever it is you want to do, regardless of any weird attention you might incite.

But just to let you know, it's probably not a good idea to BRING to Chile the people who think that snowboarding in Chile is not a good idea.
